Health insurance is a type of insurance that covers medical expenses that arise due to an illness. These expenses could be related to hospitalisation costs, cost of medicines or doctor consultation fees.
Health Insurance offers the chance to reduce or entirely avoid any waiting lists when it comes to diagnostic tests and treatment
Health insurance allows you to choose your own appointment time, specialist and hospital. This means you can plan your treatment around your life and not the other way around.
The majority of patients who visit an NHS hospital for treatment will be given a bed in a shared room with a variety of other patients. In contrast, most patients in a private hospital will benefit from a private room, en-suite facilities, free parking and quite often, a food menu.

You'll need to include copies of all paperwork that will help your claim, including receipts or medical certificates. You should also keep copies of the originals in case your claim is queried or refused.
It's important not to exaggerate your claim since this could lead to the whole claim being rejected.
You can cancel your policy by writing to or calling us or the insurer within the first 14 days from the policy start date (cooling-off period). If you do this you will receive a refund of the premium you have paid provided that no claims have been paid in that time. If you do not cancel within this time, your membership will continue so long as you continue to pay your premium.
After your cooling-off period:
1) If you pay monthly, you can cancel your plan from the next monthly payment date.
2) If you pay yearly, you can cancel your plan and receive a pro-rata refund based on the whole months remaining in the year. If you cancel during the year, we will not pay for any claim for treatment you were given after the date of cancellation.
