Specialist cover for your home and contents

Need to insure your house structure, your possessions, or both? We check policies across a wide network of underwriters to match you with the right cover.

Because we’re a dedicated broker, we have the expertise to arrange protection for homes with non-standard features, such as listed buildings or unconventional construction. We deliver real value for money, often finding solutions when other firms fail to quote entirely.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Buildings and Contents insurance?

  • Buildings Insurance covers the structure of your property (walls, roof, windows, fittings) and permanent fixtures against risks like fire, flood, and storm damage.

  • Contents Insurance covers the items inside your home that you would take with you if you moved, such as furniture, clothing, and electrical goods, against theft and damage.

I rent a property. Do I need insurance?

If you rent, you need Tenants Insurance (also called Renters Insurance). This pays to replace your own possessions (furniture, clothes, gadgets) if they are stolen or damaged. Your landlord is usually responsible for insuring the building itself.

How is the Buildings Sum Insured calculated?

The sum insured should represent the rebuild cost of your home—not the market value. This is the total cost to demolish and rebuild your property from the ground up. We often use the Building Cost Information Service (BCIS) estimate to ensure this figure is accurate.

Is accidental damage covered?

Accidental damage (e.g., spilling paint on a new carpet or putting a foot through the ceiling) is often not included in the basic cover. It is typically offered as an optional extra that you can select when customising your policy.
